I think I read somewhere that only males could be ginger ( truth or fiction ?).

Well I have 2 presently (brothers) and they are such big softies.

I used to have also 2 cats before which I had to give away unfortunately. One was a ginger male and the other one a black and white female. Total opposites. The ginger male was so affectionate whereas the female very aloof.

I had noticed that trend with my parents also who used to have cats.

edit : oh so I was wrong then ! Yes I always adopted mine from the shelters also.

I love cats, i have 4! i female and 3 males. I have 1 ginger & white and 1 black & white, 2 tabby. All too gorgeous to favour one but in my opinion male cats are more loving.

Cats are intelligent! They can be both sophisticated and playful. I prefer the Black cats because the shelters say people tend to mistreat or neglect them; I like to take care of the mistreated. Male - More affectionate than female surprisingly.

Love the little beasts and I have seven cats of all different colors. That includes a tuxedo (black & white) and an orange (ginger). The orange cat is my favorite, his name is Eddie, the wonder cat. He's on my lap right now wanting his morning slurp of coffee. : )

female cats are better, although males arent too shabby if u get them fixed coz tom cats usually go off lookin for some lovin

I ♥ my cat she can be viewed on my 360 page,she's a pure breed long haired Rag Doll,she weighs just under 25 lbs,she's huge.
