Why is writing lyrics to a song so f-ing hard??
I was inspired by recent events in my life and wrote some music from the experiences. Now I'm trying to find lyrics to go with the music and I'm having trouble with the words. What rhymes with "orange"?
BTW, I was kidding about the orange comment. However, now that I've come up with some lyrics, now the song is starting to sound sucky. Argh!! Does this ever happen to you too?

I suggest that you start with something called "Free Association Writing."
You basically just start typing or writing. Don't think too much about it, just start and set a time of like 5 minutes for yourself. See what you come up with. Just let your mind go and write about what you are ready to write about.
Take what you have written and see if you can find a theme or a particular subject in the writing. Take that subject or theme and just brainstorm. Write about how you feel about the subject. Write some examples.
The point is, it is about finding out what is on your mind and whittling it down until you have clear themes, and clear ideas.

I know!
I've been a songwriter for like 10 years!
I'm still stuck on the first line of my first song.
