Are new cars better than the 60s model?

My1960 Chevy Bel Air got 22 miles a gallon my ford tauras gets 28 in 47 years thay have realy improved alot.

    I like the 60's cars as they were a lot easier to do repairs on. I had a 68 caprice that made 12 mpg and now i have a 03 Regal that gets 31. I can't think of many newer cars that will ever be a classic like a lot of the 60's models.

    The new ones are better by every objective measure, but the old cars were far more interesting in terms of style.

    Yes.

    Newer cars are alsways better, more reliable, and more fuel efficient.

    The 2001-2006 Honda Insight gets 60mpg city and 66mpg highway.

    they don't have points to adjust and the plugs last 10 years....
