ok first just press Ctrl+Shift+C all at once then a white bar will come up type in (AgeSimsCheat on) press on ur toddler and a new thing will pop u sayin "Set Age" choose from Adult, Toddler, Child , teen, or Elder. Hope i helped!

Make sure that it's day time so the people will actually come, then buy the Birthday Cake and go to the phone and click Throw Party and then Birthday Party then select the people that you want to invite, it would help if your family has a high relationship with the people you invite.

I used to play it all the time....lemmie think. You can get the cake in objects, like where u get all of the stuff for the house. I think you either click on the cake during the party, or you might not even need to throw a party. I can't remember for sure! I do think that he kid has to be ready. Try waiting a while and it might show in the "throw a party" to throw a birthday party, then you can throw the b-day party. It's one of those options, I haven't played it in a while, sorry!

The birthday cake is located in the buying section, in "other" (the 3 dots) you'll see a one layered cake. buy it and place it on a table. Then click on the cake, and it'll say "bring (name of sim) to cake, and the adult you've asked to bring the child will bring them to the cake and help them blow out the candles. I think it will only allow you to have a party on the actual day or few days before the actual sims birthday. Because sometimes i click on the phone too, and it wont let me.

All you need to do is get a birthday cake and have the toddler select it as "grow up". For invited guests, just call them over for a house party and they will watch the toddler grow up. I think it's possible, but maybe after he/she grows up, you can invite people on the phone under the selection "birthday party".

u have to hit the "house party" because the party is at ur house. then get some ballons and other stuff. to get a birthday cake u have to be in buy mode and u will see differant options. press the three circles, then press the button that looks like ballons. then u will find a birthday cake.

well if it dosent say throw a birthday party then

it isnt the day he is going to grow up or if you want your toddler to grow up without a party click on your toddlers person thingy and click grow up

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's because you haven't installed expansion packs to get different actions. As for the cake, I'm sure you need to install an expansion pack, can't remember which one though =(
