America is full of High expectations, and little results.
We must PAY to get hospital care......America is full of dreams that will never come true, paved by men who have everything they could ever ask for. The ppl of america are at war with themselves, and the government.
HOME OF THE BRAVE????
The only brave ones are the people. NOT the government
Im pround to be an american, but not b/c i know im free. The ppl that DIED for us would weep at what kind of country America has become- no thanks to bush, and the non caring rich of DC.

As in the U.S.A.?
I think it's pretty messed up.
It used to be a lot better, like Canada, but after the 1960's, everything got gradually worse and worse. This accelerated particularly after Reagan became president.
I always think of the U.S. as wasted potential. So much energy is put towards the military that healthy things are forgotten.
We all know this is the most obese country on the planet. Hollywood can't hide the fact.
I also think that the general public is really blind. It seems like there's a huge difference between the public and the politicians.
As a Canadian, I feel I know more about the U.S. than Americans themselves do. I can see it more clearly because our media is less biased and not afraid to ask the tough questions.
Americans don't really know what their military is even doing. There's obviously going to be another 9/11-scale attack on the U.S. Most Americans probably don't believe this because they get a white-washed view of what their military does.
So, I feel like the U.S. public is blind. They're also loud-mouthed, so even if someone tells them the truth, they can't hear it because they're just blabbing about garbage like who's the sexiest on TV or whatever.
Of course there are lots of good things about the U.S., but the past couple decades have sort of covered up that stuff.
Gradually as I've gotten older, I've realized that all the good things that the U.S. has are actually right here in Canada. The U.S. used to be about multiculturalism, but now they want to build walls. Toronto is the most multicultural city on Earth.
Canada has more of the wide-open spaces than the U.S. has.
Just about anything that the world is told is good about the U.S. is just as good, if not better, in Canada. So I think a lot of people are misinformed about the U.S.
Americans are ignorant of other countries.
I always wonder how the U.S. public could have ever voted to keep Bush their president. That is really disturbing. It means that millions of people in the U.S. were willing to go along with the killings in Iraq.
There's so much to say.
Basically the U.S. comes across as a bunch of ignorant, sleeping goofballs that are trapped in a cycle of violence that will eventually bankrupt the entire country. The funny thing is that I actually have faith that Canada will survive the mess right south of us.

well i like america, always been good allies to the British. It has its problems but so does everywhere else. On the few occasions i've been across the pond i've found the people to be friendly and the scenery to be stunning (some of the women are stunning as well, particularly with the added attraction of their accents!)

America is the land of abundance, weather is good or bad. Because of our freedom of speech we tend to ***** about the ups and downs, but deep down we all love this country. God bless America the greatest country in the world.

America is in bad shape at the moment. Oil is higher than the sky, our economy has gone down the toilet along with our housing market, and everything else. High prices and horrible canadets for president. Were not going anywhere for a while!

The question is similar to the one asked of Ghandi on his visit to Britain and his answer seems appropriate to the state that the USA is in at present:
'what do you think of British Civilisation Mr Ghandhi?'
to which Ghandhi replied:
'I think that it would be something worth trying'

I think that we are a country that was blessed with power, but we are self-destructing by using that power immorally, and in a non-meaningful manner. We have lost values and morals, and our heading down a bad road. Yet, I don't think it is time to hand over our power to change the world, we just need to start by changing on the inside then going on to bigger and better things. Our country needs to change from within first and then we can be influencial in worldly things.

I love this country and plan to join the air force but to tell the truth I think we are 1.Lazy for the most part. 2. Too open to other ideas in a bad way. 3. We let other nations take advantage of us for NO reason! Im telling it as it is!
