Is Oprah right about tennage sex?
I saw a thing on Oprah that teenage girls don't think it's a big deal to give guys bl0wjobs at school and at parties. The girls on the show said it was like a kiss, not a big deal at all, everybody does it. Is that true? Do girls really do that? I have two kids and I just can't believe that's the world they're growing up in!

Unfortunately thats true. I'm from Australia, which probably has less of a problem with it than in America.
I'm 16 and last year (grade 10, kids aged 14/15) the whole year did an anonymous survey in health asking about sex. Around 60% had received or given oral sex and only very small percentage had actually had sex.
I go to an average suburban school, so i'd imagine in other areas (such as in the city) this sort of thing would go on more, especially in the US.
Personally, i think its a much bigger deal than a kiss, and so do most of my female friends (not so much the guys, lol). So obviously not all teenage girls think this.
Its something that should be taught about at school so kids can make informed decisions about it, so that if they do decide they want to, they're safe about it.

Yeah it is true that there are many teenagers who do act like that, and they're not even that bad of people, they just like to get down. It's obviously not a good thing and they're only causing their own harm in the long run, but not every teenager is completely distracted in a lifestyle that is occupied with drinking, drugs, and sex. Yet, supposedly 1 out of every 4 American girls already has an STD, so obviously there is something wrong with that picture. And it's not like they are giving the STDs to themselves, so it's not like us guys are all that innocent either.
But I wouldn't be surprised if this trend sees a rapid decline. Eventually, all those teenagers who are misguided do realize that they need to get their act together. Usually it is too late for them and they end up in community college, but there is still some hope to hold onto, so it's irrational to jump to conclusions and act like the world is coming to an end, cause it's not. I think in five to ten years, there will be a significant drop in teenage sex. I wouldn't be surprised if more and more teenagers want to become doctors and lawyers, cause everything is going to get more and more expensive, and the inflation is going to diminish the false sense of affluence for many Americans, and that generation of teenagers will have to work harder for everything, unlike my generation that has everything handed to them and has a low sense of consequence or obligation.

Unfortunately, yes. And that's why it's important that, as uncomfortable as it may be, parents need to talk about oral when they talk about sex. And they need to talk about it at a younger age. I'm talking like 10. Otherwise they learn by trial and error instead of being armed with knowledge. And gonorrhea of the mouth is not the kind of "experiment gone wrong" you want your kids dealing with in 6th grade.

Well for me that is not true.
Im 17..And married,
And i have done that with my husband before...
Once, Maybe twice.
But i have heard of girls doing it like all the time..
Oh this kind of reminds me of something..
There is this school,
And all the cheerleaders give the football players bl0wjobs,
After every game...
Win or lose.
Well almost all the cheerleaders got ghonerahha (i can spell Lol) of the throat.
I find it gross honestly.

Unfortunatly yes. I graduated this year, but guys in my year would offer to give you answers to a test for a *******! People would think of it as nothing, it was just like a kiss, But then again, i guess its better than everyone having sex! Although i think people do that aswell

unfortunately, some girls do think that.
im 19 and i wouldnt never do such a thing like that with random people at parties and stuff.
sex (any form of it) is a very private and personal thing between two people in love.
its all about how your child is raised and the morals that they possess.
there are all sorts of people out there, including the slutty bad-influences...but there are good people as well

I dont believe that is true and to me a ******** is a intimate act and i would only do it if i loved the guy.
But yeh i think shes right and i think lots of teens just do it without understanding the risks. Girls at school really do that but i dont know why.

Yes unfortunatly most teens don't view oral sex as sex because there is no intercourse. They feel safer doing oral sex and feel that because they won't get pregnant it is no big deal. They fail to realize just how dangerous it is because they are still exposed to deadly and life changing STD's and are then looked at as easy and slutty.

Know way blow jobs are definitively sex, not a kiss at all. No, not everybody does it. My friends and wouldn't even dare. We are educated about STDs.
