yes i have quit seeing one and started with another the reason i quit was that the first ones counseling was based in religion for example the reason i couldn't stop my anger was that i didn't love God enough. i have since found out that if you look up a good cognitive councilor who does groups you will be getting the best counseling as working with others with same affliction they have a say and have been through some of the same things you are going through. they will recognize where your coming from and also be able to call (BS) on you when your deluding yourself. oh and having others who have some of the same past gives you a good support network

I did, yeah. I had about the same situation!

And I left because the price was a bit too high for me and it was only 45 minutes and I didn't like the environment. So I just never went back, didn't bother to send email.

I went like 3 times but he was really crap. I just didn't like his Demeanor basically so what I did was quit and found another with the help of my dear parents! I even forgot to pay him for the last two visits because he was such crap at his job. lol

Ah... dont feel so bad. you will find a better one. Maybe woman or man, but i guess you didn't like the last one.

your going to the counsellor to get over that problem....

you know that feeling you get before your appointments? if you stop going to them, you might get that feeling before every appointment, date, meeting, and party in your life. obviously if you started seeing a counsellor, you knew that something was wrong and had to be fixed. don't give up now!!!! through your counselling, you will learn to deal with this anxious feeling, and youll no longer dread your appointments and eventually you wont even have to go to them.

i had the same problem but was seeing a psychiatrist. i quit going as well, but its because i got better :) it took a couple years but its worth it to be able to live a carefree life.

    so dont give up!
