Do I have herpes? Or what is it?
I'm 16 years old. I recently began making out with my girlfriend within the past 3 weeks. I don't know if she might have had it?? OR if it's from something else?? 3 days ago this dry spot appeared just outside my lips to the left. I've never seen something like this but it's just been dry and crusty the whole time.. It's a tiny circle. Is this herpes?? Or is it just something else?? And what does this mean for the rest of my life?? I'm kinda freaking out any help would be great

I'm assuming like the other do, that it may be Herpes Simplex 1 (HSV-1). The crusty part of your description makes me think it might be that. On the other hand, there is a small chance it is just a little friction sore from mouth to mandible action. ; ) But I do think it's possibly HSV-1, aka, cold Sores. Very many people have it. It never goes away completely but it does tend to become less severe each time and also tends to occur less often over time as your immune system learns to ahndle the virus 9which "hides out" in nerve cells, out of reach of treatments). There are triggers like stress and sunshine and others that can bring on an "outbreak".
One of the things that makes me think you may not be infected is that I'd expect a worse primary outbreak than you describe. Also, your GF would likely have shown similar signs though in rare cases the virus "sheds" and can infect but doesn't result in an outbreak in the person who is "shedding".
I'm not convinced it's Herpes but you should fidn out for certain from a doctor.
There's plenty of information on the Net about it. http://www.smart2ask.org/popups/Herpes.htm has a lot though the emphasis is on genital herpes. Incidentally, someone mentioned that you could pass on HSV-1 to someone's genital area if you engaged in oral sex. That is a possibility though the genitals / anus provide a better host site for HSV-2 (usually called Genital Herpes) and it is not as likely to pass HSV-1 to genitals.

I got identified with herpes virus (type 2) about 3 years ago, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I know a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/JnTcr everything changed.
Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This method gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

Cold sores are herpes, once you get one you will always have it. When ever you get stressed out or tired you can ahave a break out. Go to the doc and get the good meds there are some that will get rid of it in a couple days and prevent it from coming back so often.

don't freak out. 85-90% of people have oral herpes. just avoid kissing and any other type of contact when it comes to your mouth to avoid spreading the virus.
yes, herpes is for life. your body will always carry the virus. just like your body always carries the chicken pox virus. btw, chicken pox IS a form of herpes.
i cant seem to understand why everyone freaks out over herpes, almost everyone on this planet has it.
