Miatas come in both automatic and manual (standard/stick shift) transmissions. Automatics are less common to find than s are in Miatas...as in the old days the manual transmission was the standard option and automatics were up grade options. This is not typical with most vehicles today and the automatics have become the norm. However, manual transmissions are more preferred by drivers of Miatas than automatics transmission. Manual transmissions are not hard to drive and in my opinion are much more fun to drive. They also have a bonus of getting slightly better gas mileage over the auto transmissions version.

    They come in both.

They are now called MX-5, not Miata. They changed the name.

About 95% of cars made come with both manual and automatic.

Ferrari's and Lambo's only come in Manual.

Some Porsche models like the GT2 and GT3 come in Manual only.

    Mercedes only come in Automatic.

But just about every other car comes in both.

Miata's do come in both automatic and manual transmissions.

The manual is considered one of the best manual transmissions ever made. Please... learn how to drive stick so you can appreciate this fine car.

an auto Miata would be pointless...auto trans are pointless...why would you want to drive an auto trans when it decreases power, acceleration, and gas mileage? And if you think a manual is hard then you shouldn't be driving.
