Why does the Bible say; The FOOL has said in his heart, 'There is no GOD/YHWH.'?

Psalms 14:1

Romans 1:20 For his (GOD'S) invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal POWER and GODSHIP, so that they are INEXCUSABLE,..

Update:

Apparently God wants mankind to know that he thinks that creation is enough *proof* of his power.

However, sometimes God gives signs, like to doubting Thomas.

Acts 2:19 And I (GOD) will give portents in heaven above and signs on earth below, blood, and fire and smoke mist,

20)the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and illustrious day of YHWH/Jehovah arrives.

It's a marketing strategy - demonizing non-adherents. It serves the same purpose as Brittany Spears showing her navel - it's to attract people who fall for that kind of thing.

People are choosing to believe what man says, rather than God, and that is a dangerous position to put yourself in.

Most people don't want there to be a God, so therefore he denies the existence of God. It is an irrational position to take. First of all, it is a claim to omniscience; it says, "I know everything. It is not possible that a God could exist beyond the boundaries of my knowledge." Second, this attitude claims omnipresence; it says, "I am present in all places at one and the same time, and it is not possible that God could exist any place in the universe without my knowing it."

Again, this position ignores the wonders of God's creation - the immensity of the universe, the amazingly precise movement of the planets, the marvelous suitability of the earth to sustain life, the intricate design of the human body, the fantastic complexity of the human brain and the extraordinary properties of water and soil.

Take for instance the suitability of the earth to sustain life.

The earth rotates on its axis at approx 1000 miles per hour. If that had been 100 miles per hour, our days and nights would be 10 times longer, and our planet would alternatively burn and freeze. Under such conditions vegetation could not live!

If the earth were as small as the moon, the power of gravity would too weak to retain sufficient atomosphere for man's needs; but if it were as large as Jupiter, Saturn, or Uranus, extreme gravitation would make human movement almost impossible. If we were as near to the sun as Venus, the heat would be unbearable; if we were as far away as Mars, we would experience snow and ice every night, even in the warmest of regions. If the oceans were half their present dimensions, we would receive only one fourth the rainfall we do now. If they were one eighth larger, our annual precipitation would increase four-fold, and this earth would become a vast, uninhabitable swamp.

Water solidifies at 32 degrees above zero [oF]. It would be distastrous if the oceans froze at that temperature, however, for then the amount of thawing in the polar regions would not balance out, and ice would accumulate throughout the centuries! To prevent such a catastrophe, God put salt into the sea to alter its freezing point.

The possibility that all this happened by chance is too small to warrant consideration. That is why the Bible says that atheists are fools. They are moral fools. It is not a question of their intelligence but of their morality.

In 1 Corinthaians Chapter 1 verse 18 onwards, the Bible speaks about the philosophers and scholars and those who claim to be wise. In Romans 1 it says that man is without excuse for not knowing God, because God has made it obvious to them through His divine nature - which is what I have written about, above.

Its a tragety when people listen to hearsay, the people who claim to be wise, for they are only human like you and me, and there is so many diverse opinions anyway. For those who deny the existence of God im asking you this - are you going to choose to believe God's Word, God who is infinite - the One who fine tuned the universe! No man has ever been or will ever be able to do that!

It clearly tells us that not having God in your heart you are a fool and it is foolish not to believe in God. Romans 1:20 says it so nicely that in looking at all of God's creation and the wonders of it all, it is inexcusable not to believe in a Divine being, in God.

    Very good question and comment!!!

    God bless

For the same reason Nazis said Jews were no good.

It simultaneously demonizes non-members and promotes the agenda.

No-one wants to be thought of as a fool or evil....priests, demagogues and politicians have used that foible for their own ends countless times....

Why does the story of Peter Pan read that if you think happy thoughts you can fly?

Your New testament is something that you put faith in to. You choose to believe it, but, you should respect those who do not put much, if anything, in to your NT, or religion, because outside of that NT, there is no support for it. You can quote it all you want, but if someone doesn't believe it is a valid source, it means nothing, other than to you and others who elect to believe.

I have learned that God is real and involved in the affairs of my life.

He loves me and I love Him.

Believing anything else would be stupid beyond words for me !

I don't understand how I must have tuned Him out all those years.

    It seems so long ago.

The same reason the FSM Gospel says only the ignorant are not convinced by the truth of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Why does it say it? I don't know, because it's wrong. I believe in God and I've known several atheists in my day. I wouldn't call any of them "fools"; they have very valid reasons for not believing in God.

Why do you THINK it says it? Really? You think a book purporting to be holy is gonna have something NICE to say about its opponents?

Really, attempting to use the bible as proof of the bible is indicative of blatant stupidity and a ridiculous amount of cognitive dissonance.

I could throw the same thing back at you. How can YOU see all the FACTS that we have gathered together for science, and still be so blinded in faith?

    It's a never ending battle.
