  • Desensitizing my eyes?

I've been living with glasses for all my life now, and recently I decided I would like to switch to contacts. The problem is that my eyes are very, very sensitive (it's virtually impossible for me to put eyedrops in, let alone contact lenses I'll be wearing all day). My mother told me of a friend who also wanted to get contacts and who had a similar malady; she would repeatedly touch her eye to the point where she could put them in.

So my question is, is touching your eye (when your hands are clean, of course) a good way to desensitize them, and are there any other ways to do this?

  • Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Stops Bullet?

A soldier in iraq got shot by a sniper his flak jacket failed to stop the round but yet a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide in the guy's pocket stopped it... the round would have been fatal if It went through him... how is this possible if 42 is not the meaning of life, the universe and everything...this proves that 42 is the meaning of life.

  • Why are so many Christians conspiracy theorists?

I'm not saying that all Christians were Tinfoil hats and listen to government radio bands for signs of mind-control waves and alien sightings. I'm talking about the belief that many Christians believe that every single person person who thinks differently then them is evil and is out to get them. Mainly, it's that the "secular humanists" are trying to help every other religion out there and utterly destroy Christianity. Especially the Muslims, because "it's more radical elements have bonded with the radical Left in the United States and Europe." And then there's the whole "Scientists are deliberately ignoring the mounds of evidence to Creationism because it goes against the Humanist's control!" theory that all Creationists believe in. This is all coming from a Christian textbook that I have open in my lap right now (Understanding the Times from Bob Jones University Press, I can give ISBN number if you want.)

My question is, why are you guys so paranoid? No ones out to get you, the only reason your being taken out of power in our society is because we're fulfilling our little "separation of church and state" clause that you hate so much.

  • How easy/hard is it to get "fair-gamed" by scientologists at a protest?

For those who do not know, scientology has a practice called "Fair Game" (though they do not use this term anymore) that basically means that if you criticize Scientology in any way, they will hunt you down and do all sorts of horrible things to discredit you, including slander, break-ins, stalking, and bankrupting your accounts. Though they feverishly deny this, there are multiple recorded cases, even court cases, all for people who disagree with them. Anonymous had decided that Scientology needed to be shut down for its crimes and organized world-wide protests at Scientology churches (one of which is happening August 16th. These protesters, out of fear of "fair game" are forced to wear masks

My question is, how difficult is it to get fair gamed at one of these protests, even if you wear a mask? (Message typed through a proxy just in case.)

  • Spiritually Speaking, why are there so many misconceptions of zombies?

I mean, all the stuff that people are posting about zombies today are all based on the stupid rendition (the limping corpse gurgling brains). This is not how zombies are at all! If any of you has read the Zombie Survival Guide, you will know that zombies are actually caused by a human getting infected by the virus Solanum, and that virus then takes over their body, causing them to develop a parasitic organ in their skull made up of dead brain matter that causes them to act like zombies. They only infect people through biting, and they have no desire for brains; they eat any flesh indiscriminately. You can only kill them by destroying the Solanum organ in the head. Zombies have the intellectual capacity of an insect, so they have no morals, no discriminations; they are a being of instinct

I thought you people would actually know something about Zombies. I mean, this is 3rd grade stuff. Go buy the Zombie Survival Guide and get prepared.

  • In a crisis of faith?

I've been a devout Pastafarian for years, and have followed all of the FSM's teachings as close to perfect as my flimsy moral standards allow. However, I've been reading up on Atheism and their God Atheon (who you must sacrifice virgins to to appease.), and I just don't know what faith to believe in. Can anyone help me?

  • Fellow atheists...a question?

How many virgins do sacrifice to Atheon, our God of atheism, on a regular basis? I can never seem to find more then 15 at a time, so I don't know if this makes him pissed off or what.

  • Does the Baha'i Doctrine agree with evolution?

I ask this because I recently (as of like, 10 minutes ago) started studying this and I like what I see. I need more time to study it, of course, but I'd like to just know if it agrees with it scientifically or not.

  • If I have footage of a game that doesn't come out till tomorrow, can I post it without legal ramifications?

The games free, just to add that in, so it's not like I illegal procured it. It just hasn't come out yet.

  • Why do so many people give up Warhammer 40K for Warmachine?

I understand that you don't have to deal with as many miniatures, but other than that, I don't see what's so appealing about it.
