i can't load any applications besides internet explorer, please help?
im pissed, i can't load any of the games i got on my computer, because internet explorer is the only thing i can open. i've restarted my pc, i've let it stay off over night, nothing changed, i can't even download virus protection because i can't load it. also idon't have backup either. what do i do?
idk, that didn't work, cuz now i can't get on the web, because i can't install my wireless nic, im thinking i should format the hard drive
actually i have firefox as well, it's not the internet im worried about right now, it's getting my computer back to what it was. after i reinstalled the os, i can't get my wireless NIC working because that was deleted and im still having problems.
but i'll say this, i figured that i could right-click and then choose run as, or open with, and i can open it, but the problem is i can't do that for applications that run as programs, like to install the drivers for my wireless NIC, i can get the auto run, but i can't get to the next step, in other words, if the application had an option to open another application, then im screwed. i still can't run regedit yet.
also now after running one of the virus scanners i had one that added something then deleted the virus files, now when i normally double click an application, it says the file can't be found, which is wierd because i see that the file is in the right spot. idk i think i need to heal my regristry but i don't know how. Help me!

* Perform a Repair Installation
* How do you perform a reinstallation of Windows XP, sometimes called a repair installation?
* Insert your Windows XP Setup CD, and restart your computer.
When the Press any key to boot from CD message is displayed on your screen, press a key to start your computer from the Windows XP CD.
Press ENTER when you see the message To setup Windows XP now, and then press ENTER displayed on the Welcome to Setup screen. Do not choose the option to press R to use the Recovery Console.
* In the Windows XP Licensing Agreement, press F8 to agree to the license agreement. Make sure that your current installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to repair Windows XP.
* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete Setup.

Hey,dear~~
I think you should get rid of IE. My friend alway ask me to fix their crazy IE.
But, I tell them IE is not good to use. IE is unstable, error prone, and insecure.
I recommend my friends to use a open source browser - Firefox.
I think it's easy to use. My friends tell me he or she has little problem with firefox.
You can see some reasons why people love firefox and download optimized Firefox here:
Give yourself a nice browsing experience.
Good luck!!!!
