UFC 86 or 87?

Which do you think will be better?

UFC 86:

Light Heavyweight Championship bout:Jackson vs. Griffen

Middleweight bout: Patrick Côté vs. Ricardo Almeida

Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Gleison Tibau

Welterweight bout: Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle

Lightweight bout: Tyson Griffin vs. Marcus Aurelio

UFC 87:

Welterweight championship bout: GSP vs. Jon Fitch

Lightweight bout: Roger Huerta vs. Kenny Florian

Heavyweight bout: Brock Lesnar vs. Heath Herring

and maybe Rich Franklin vs Hendo

I have to go with ufc 87. 86 has good matchups, but so far the lineup for 87 seems like its going to be a lot better. GSP is going to have a good test against a stronger opponent. Jon Fitch is huge for 170 but GSP is more skilled. Hopefully GSP will have his mind clear of distractions so we dont see a repeat of his other first title defense (matt serra). Then you have a match that might show who is next in line for a shot at the lightweight title. Roger Huerta has been unstoppable so far and his last fight with clay guida shower he will not give up and can hang with the best of them. Kenny Florian has been on an unstoppable charge back to a title shot after he lost a chance to be champ against sean sherk. Then theres the match to show where Brock Lesnar stands. He is fighting a very tough, experienced guy in Heath herring with good take down defense. Can Lesnar's strength, wrestling, and superior conditioning get past Herring's defense, experience, and striking. We'll see on that night. Hendo and Franklin is a fight i've been wanting to see for a while. Its even more important in their careers right now. Hendo has lost twice in a row and Franklin wants to start the road back to his title against a true contender. They both have good striking and ground games. Hendo is an excelent olympic wrestler and Franklin has very underrated jiu jitsu skills (just watch some of his early fights. he submitted quite a few people). So this is going to be a great card that is going to answer a lot of questions. I cant wait to see it.

    87. We have one championship bout featuring the best fighter not named Anderson Silva, and another bout which could essentially be a championship bout if Penn decides to move up to fight GSP. We also get to watch Brock against another serious opponent. With the weak UFC heavyweight division anyone could be a few wins from a title shot. If Heath wins you'd have to say he's next in line after Werdum. UFC 87 has 3 fights that will impact the title picture, 4 if you add on Franklin v Hendo. UFC 86 has one.

Jackson/Griffin will be a good fight. Cote usually puts on a good show. Joe "Daddy" I haven't seen enough of his fights to know; same w/Tyson Griffin. Koscheck will either submit or get knocked out right away - so that could be good or bad.

GSP will take Fitch's head off. Huerta/Florian will be a good fight. Brock Lesnar needs to hang it up... I'm interested in seeing him get dominated again. Rick Franklin is always fun to watch.

I will watch both... I watch anything to do w/the UFC. But I'm sure UFC 87 will definately be the better card

Well Jackson vs Griffen will be interesting, and Joe Stevenson will beat Tibau (whoever that is), but that's about it for UFC 86. UFC 87 will have GSP dominate again, brock lesnar gets another chance to prove his skill, and Rich Franklin will be good if there is one.

I would have to say... UFC 86 but there pretty close

I gotta say 87 takes it.......especially if the hendo vs. franklin fight goes down....I would also like to see lesnar get beat again....and Huerta/Florian could be an instant classic. As for fitch/GSP should be a good fight for Georges.

86 will have better fights, but I want to see the GSP and Brock Lesnar fights.

I think the best of all of these fights will be Stevenson vs. Tibau. I don't know how to pick it. I think it will be a back and forth war.

  • i think 87, i think that the forrest and rampage fight is gonna be longer than everyone thinks, but why i think 87 will be better is because gsp is gonna walk through jon fitch and roger huerta us gonna maje kenny florian his ***** and brock lesnar is gonna pummell heathe herring, lesnar pummelled frank mir but frank mir got lucky with an ankle lock,,, and the rich franklin fight will be average, nothing exciting but i think 87 is gonna be way better
