How Busy Are Free Tuesdays At Balboa Museums (San Diego)?
I want to go but don't know how early to go or if they're crazy busy that you won't be able to enjoy it.

I worked at the Natural History Museum, hated free Tuesday. At mid-day you could barely make it through one area to another. It calmed down a bit towards closing, but then you would have to rush through.

Tuesdays are still less crowded than the weekends. The biggest issue with crowds is finding a parking place. Don't stress though. You can park in any lot and ride the free park trolley from one location to another. If you haven't been to the park before, I'd suggest staying on the free trolley for one lap around the park just so you know what's available.

I'd venture to say that this is a good time given that many school children are off for summer vacation. Now all you have to contend with are other tourists.
