Is my boyfriend a perv?

I don't think he's a perv. What makes the difference between a perv and a normal person is self control and intent. If he finds 15-16 yro girls attractive, fine, so be it. Lots of guys do. But most men would never consider acting on the attraction. They are women by definition. They can have sex and have babies, and until the last century, they would have been able to marry. A perv would ignore the social stigma and act on his desires. That is a no-no and to cross that line is both unethical, immoral, and illegal. So, I say, no, he's not a perv unless he tries to hook up with one of the girls. Hang on a second though....if his staring and stuff is uncomfortable to either you or the girls, then even though not a perv, he is a disrespectful douchebag to say the least...

Don't listen to these posters. Your boyfriend is not a perv. Some guys like looking at younger girls. While 16 may be pushing the envelope a little, many 16 year old girls look older than they are. I would say he was a perv if he was looking at elementary kids or something but this is fine. If it makes you feel better, historically in many cultures men have married and been attracted to younger women (I am not talking "kids" but late-teenager type girls. Heck, in years past it was not uncommon for 16-17 year old girls to marry guys in their late 20s and 30s.

Anyway, good luck. Just make sure he doesn't start touching those 16 year olds. No matter what history or biology says, the law tends to look at things differently...

OMG, I'm not racist but I will relay my observations. I grew up in the Bronx, not a bad area, mostly Irish/Italian. But there were a lot of Hispanics including Mexicans. And they all did that!!!! (The Mexicans were particularly brazen and notorious for this) Adult guys sit outside in front of their buildings or bodegas and they hoot and snoot at teenage girls walking by. I just regard it as ghetto, low-class, uneducated behaviour. He may not necessarily be a pervert and act on it. Is he from a very poor family? If that's the environment in which he grew up and knows, then he'll behave that way and think it the "norm."

well, fist, how old is he? if your guys are in college then it isn't that weird, but if you are like 25 then i would say he is a perv. And most of them aren't having sex. Also, it depends how atractive he thinks they are. If he just thinks theyre then so what. If he wants to go out with them or something then its could be weird.

Just say how old he is and it'll be a lot easier. O, and i dont think you had to say he was mexican lol.

That depends on how old he is. Since a lot of girls that are 16 LOOK a lot more like they're 21 or older, I wouldn't say he's a perv or anything. But the fact that he's constantly checking out all of these OTHER girl would worry me.

he's a moron for telling you these things and should be more descrete, but the truth is that some girls that age can already be developed and the most base, natural part of a guy likes breats and butts when they hit a womanly shape. so is he a total perv for looking at girls that young, well, yes, but is it kind of natural, well yes. most guys of a certain age just follow their common sense and choose not to look out of decency.

he's probably not the guy for you if he is proud of and is okay wit how he is.

so in conclusion here, yes he is a perv, but a normal one who jus hasn't matured to the point where he can make himself act like an adult man.

he is being a typical guy. remember that in generations past, and in other societies, when the age of puberty is reached children become adults and usually go and start their own families. it is only recently that the age of majority has become 18(with in the past 150 years). if he was checking out 10 year olds, or younger, then i would say he is a perv. i would say however that he is a womanizer though, and i would be careful making long range plans with him.

looking at teenagers? sick. they ARE children. yes they are going to be attractive but he should be able to see them more as a father sees a daughter u know?

as for other women...well thats another story. if he is looking at women all the time its really up to u what ure comfortable with. i would not be able to stand it. obviously he still has eyes and taste but that doesnt mean he has to be staring and scoping them out. u should be 'every woman in thw world' to him right now.

to help this problem? well as for the young girls...i think that pie is baked. he'll have to go on a long emotional journey til he matures out of that. and u cant make him do it he'll have to want to on his own.

other woman...tell him how u feel about it. its not a crazy thing to want! if he doesnt agree with u...well....

i agree that him being mexican gives him a lil leeway...according to the stories anyway. theyre just very machista. and connoisseurs of women. but still. u deserve the best.

Your bf has a point. Society keeps changing what a "perv" is. Currently its anything that some people think is wrong. There was a time not so long ago that being gay was considered perverted. Legally, he is a criminal if he acts on his looking, so thats more important than how you categorize him.

well to him it's not wrong, in mexico girls at the age of 15 are considered women. thats why they have quinceaneras...like a sweet sixteen kind of, but in mexico its fine for guys to date them. and you're not wrong because in america, its disgusting to like 15 n 16 year olds when you're over the age of 18 or 19...just different backgrounds and cultures, that's all. he's not being a perv on purpose.
