Ornament stands for centerpieces?

Our wedding decorations are incorporating a lot of pearls. I found very cute wire ornaments in the shape of an S (my fiance's last name starts with S) covered in pearls, for a dollar each at Michael's. We'd like to use these are our centerpieces and hang them from very simple ornament stands like those many people use to display fancy Christmas ornaments. However, our local craft stores don't carry a wide variety and the ones they do are both unattractive and expensive. I've looked online but have run into the same problem. Anybody have any suggestions of where else to shop or websites I might be missing? Thanks!

Update:

The centerpiece will be placed on a square mirror and surrounded by tea lights in small holders. So it's not as bare as it sounds... :)

I saw these at my Michael's & while lovely, don't you think this would be a very sparse centerpiece? You might be better served to incorporate the S into a bouquet or wrapped around a candle. You could have a branch centerpiece with the S hanging along with flowers.

Hi. This company here in Michigan (where I live!), has them and they are very reasonable. Lots of selection too! Make sure you click on all the pages of the link. There are 4 pages of ornament stands:

  • Metallic spray paint works wonders if you don't like the color. Just spray them with a primer first so it sticks and you can spray them to whatever you want. There is a metallic shiny silver I used to spray cabinet handles in my garage, I fell in love with it and I'm going to redo the light fixture in my kitchen with it now. Here is a page that has some pretty inexpensive ones. http://www.finehomedisplays.com/ornamentstands.asp

Or sift through all the stuff on e-bay.

just put them in some sort of clear bowl, like a fish bowl or hurricane type tall clear vase....you could add wide goldish ribbon threaded throughout or I think you can find little light strands that run on batteries that would look nice threaded throughout the bowl.....as long as they aren't red and green and have santa on them, I think you're okay....people will expect a christmas theme it might also be nice to somehow use those ornaments or some others as favors/place cards or maybe you're saying that you have flowers in the center and want to incorporate the ornaments....I'd just skip the flowers and save money....but if you want flowers and ornaments, maybe try just putting the ornaments in the bottom of the vase/container....i think there are some vases that exist so that there is space around the bottom to place stuff and then like a vase within a vase so that the stuff doesn't have to get wet
