Is posting my own video of a game that I play illegal?
1) I know there are a lot of copyright laws but if i took my camera and recorded my tv while i played a video game, and then posted that video on YouTube, would that be a violation of copyrights or is it fine for me to do that?
2) Also if I make a video and I added music to it, would that be a violation against the artist's copyright laws or anything like that? Would it be legal for me to include a song in my video?

No its fine people do it all the time and its not violating any policies. Have fun also the music has the same policy so its all good!

I am studying law and I can assure you that it is not illegal. When you violate a law is when you copyright someone elses work. But if Its your own work its not illegal. Good Luck

A lot of the time, people record themselves playing Guitar Hero, Halo, etc., and it's on youtube all the time. I don't think it's illegal.

no man, nobody has time to even attempt to prosecute that:
just check out www.csflicks.com, www.warcraftmovies.com and see what amazing things people do with editing their footage.
