does artest really think he is as good as he used to be?
this idiot comes out and says the lakers would be unstoppable if he was playing for them with kobe of course. does he really believe he is truly an all star? he wasnt even the best player on the kings. will the lakers really trade odom for this guy? what kind of impact will he have on the lakers on and off the court?

he'll be a better defender than odom. probably not a better score tho. his defense can rub off on the team and the younger players could learn from him like KG did for the Celtics.

Well, Ron Artest should think he is as good as he used to be, because he is. Like someone said before me, his play has remained consistent from the time he was in Indiana until now. There was only one person in the league last year that averaged more steals per game, and that was Chris Paul. In fact, I believe that the only reason he was not on the NBA defensive first team, was because of his injuries last season and only being able to play in 57 games. He is also a good offensive option, he averaged over 20 PPG last season with a FG% better than Tracy McGrady and Michael Redd. He is way to strong for almost and other SF in the league to defend him, and he is way to quick for almost any PF in the league to guard him as well. Another great thing about Artest is that he plays for the love of the game, not the money, there are bench warmers on some teams that get paid more than he does, but he doesn't care that much about the money.
To be honest with you, I hope the Kings do not trade Artest to the Lakers for Odom, Odom is not enough in my opinion because he doesn't do something that you see Ron Artest do on a nightly basis, really put his heart into the game.

Ron Artest is the best on ball defender in the league. He is a little crazy but his game on the court has been consistent from Indiana to Sacramento. And winning can really help a guy with a temper keep cool.As long as he doesn't break cameras and run into the stands a few off the wall comments never hurt anyone. That domestic violence charge against him was probably bullcrap too.All his dirty laundry is out there.

we will bring a better defensive and tough presence to the lakers, the lakers were labeled soft after being beaten by the celtics in the finals so artest would help with that, also, dont forget that last year he averaged 20 points a game and he is only 29 right now so he still has some good years left, his only problem is his poor rebounding
