What is "short-term corporate housing"?

I'm applying for something that, if accepted would require me to relocate. It lasts a year and the corporate relocation package says it includes "short-term corporate housing." What exactly does that mean?

Would it be for the whole year? or does it mean less than a month?

Also, what would "limited expenses" be. Thank you.

My only experience with "short-term Corporate housing"

said that it would be available for 6 months. The available

is determined by the company that you work for.

It is meant as a place to live while you settle into the job you

are there to do. Most times the place is a luxurious hotel

suite. Often with many benefits that we only dream of.

It often makes it hard to return to reality.

I advise avoiding these places if you can.

That term usually refers to a corporate owned apartment for use by traveling employees. It is sometimes cheaper for a company to obtain an apartment that to pay hotel bills.

Limited expenses can mean most anything, but in general it will cover things you need to spend money on that you wouldn't have to if you were at home.

Sounds like a great question for the HR department after they have decided that you're the one.

The rest of us just speculate.

    good luck!

PS - my view of it is ~3 months. But certainly not the whole year.
