Can you tell me more about EBay shipping options?

So I have decided to start selling on EBay and I have items to sell, I have a scale to weigh my packages on, I have mailers to send things in, etc. What I'm uncertain of are the actual shipping options. I started to put up an item and the only thing I'm stumped on is what to choose for shipping. There are so many options. I would personally like to be able to put these packages in my mailbox and the mail person take them to be mailed. I know that I could have postage labels printed but don't know much about it or how it works. I don't know if I can just put the amount of money needed in the mailbox with the package? If I was just going to guess at it I would have chosen the "USPS First Class Mail" and to ship for $4.99 (it's a VHS) because it seems that would cover it shipping to anywhere in the US from the details I got from shipping calculators and all. Any and all detailed information on all choices would be a great deal of help! I hope!

I am more of an international expert. However, if you want to sell to the international market (millions of online consumers that want to take advantage of the weak US dollar), you may want to partner with a company like Bongo International at http://www.bongous.com/

They will fraud screen all of your customers and take on the international shipping responsibilities and risk. All you have to do is tell your customer to set up a US address at their warehouse and you ship the items domestically to Bongo. They will then take care of the rest.

Put money in the mail box? Wow!!!

You can put the weight of the item in ebay and let ebay figure it out for each person (based off there zip code). You can print shipping lables through paypal.

What I do is just guess how much (ball park it) and just charge that. Most people on e-bay charge a little more for shipping I guess just in case. For a VHS tap, how are you going to packet it? (In a box?) I would probably do around $3-4. if you don't use the paypal labels then you need to take it to the post office.

this could be a properly widespread scam. regrettably via sending the object till now ebay had shown it grew to become into okay to take action which you have lost your broker risk-free practices. you will no longer acquire a penny from her - do no longer for goodness sake upload a £2 hundred sweetener to her haul!
