How can I get a good topic sentence for...?
I have a contrast essay telling the differences between a movie in a theater and a movie at home, what is a very good topic sentence to use, my teacher said i needed a better one but my paper for everything else is great! -This is for college.
Yeah, I know It's for college and I should know how to do this, but I havn't been in high school in 4 years.

Ya know, I was all willing to help you out...no, seriously, I was...until I got to the part where you said "this is for college."
I spend hours, days, weeks, months drilling topic sentences, supporting sentences, thesis statements, transition sentences, etc. into my TENTH GRADERS' cute lil' heads.
There is a point at which we teachers need to say, "You should know this by now. Go figure it out on your own." College is a great point.

well what are the points of your essay?
your topic sentence should tell what the essay is about and what your going to prove in it.
it should describe the overall "ness" of ur essay
think of it as an extended and more detailed title for it
