To be honest, I think that the big surprise here was less of Djokovic's game and more of Safin's. No one expected him to come out and play that well. Nole was waiting the whole match for Safin's usual break down which never came. Gutted he's out, wouldn't go as far to call the AO Champion the "worst guarantee in sports history". He's had a good year up until now, it's a pity.

Totally agree with the girl ahead of me.. Safin has always been a dangerous player and he brought his A game today. He played VERY well and Novak had alot of trouble keeeping up with him. Novak has had an incredible year so far, winning the au open, winning indian wells, winning rome, semi fnials in many tier 1 tournaments, semis at roland garros, final at artois championships. He has had a better year then rafa and federer combined. Roger is not perfect, Neither is rafa or novak or any other player. Novak didn't bring his game today.

why is it unacceptable? djokovic's not that great, even on hard court he's no "guarantee." let's give safin some credit here he's a former world number 1 and a very strong player. name the last grass tournament djokovic has won? I sure as hell can't name any. either way my bet for a guaranteed winner of wimbledon is roger federer

C'mon guys (the proponents of Novak)!!
Just admit it that novak should change his attitude, inside and outside the court.. It's quite a shame, because he is actually a very good player.. He has skills that would make him a great champion, but his attitude will prevent him to become one..

I completely agree with you. Djokovic just doesn't have what it takes to really win some of the other grand slams. I even bet on him! LOL! I still can't believe he lost. Worst guarantee in sports history, I know.

What a pity! This is what happens if you talk too much...The guy can't even make past the second round but people were already talking about Nole-Nadal final! What a bunch of losers! Go get a life guys! FedEx is the undisputed KING! GOOO ROOOOGER!!
