well your killing the object... you do need to buy the 64 bit system but you also need to run a 64 bit operating system, Vista Home is a cut down version of Vista for a start,,, plus it is a 32 bit operating system which kill the object of having 64 bit hardware, Now to buy windows vista 64 bit is going to cost around $250. to $300 very expensive indeed
Now here is something you don't know but need to know.. HP support RED HAT Linux they Install it on all their systems in Europe for customers that want Linux Installed... Linux is far superior Linux Operating system is FREE Linux do the 64 bit versions.
Linux Software is FREE...
Linux Games are FREE
Check out if you can have Fedora 9 (Redhat) Linux 64 bit system installed if not then download it and install it yourself
go to HP website and do a search for... Linux hidden in the website you will find HP have been supporting Linux for businesses for years... and that they support Linux for the home user,,,,

32bit = more support for your common programs or older xp program you might want to run in windows right now practically all applications run under 32bit mode.. con about vista 32 is you can only max out your memory too 3 gigs
64bit= not many programs written in 64bit its barely gaining popularity and you cannot install 32bit programs in a 64bit windows you will almost see no diffrence in quality between 64bit and 32bit but does support high ram for example
(3 gigs with 32bit) and about (12 or 8gig in 64bit) there was "also a 64bit version of XP which was a complete failure" future wil move to 64 bit eventually but looks far into the future or microsoft definatly need to work out its bugs in its 64bit OS
good luck choosing i have 32bit not ready for 64bit

just get 32 bit. has better drivers. with 64 u run into some issues. 64 is technically faster because it has a 64bit pipe opposed to a 32 bit pipe, but u wont notice a difference.

64 bit. You can have a lot more memory. 32 bit is limited to 4 gigs which can be cut down by the video card. leaving you with 3 megs.

32bit since there is very few programs that work well on 64bit versions of windows, u will only get extra bit of speed using the 64bit, but getting applications to work will cause problem
