Klaatu barada nikto?

I'm watching the Day the Earth stood still on AMC right now. the words "klaatu barada nikto" where used to stop the robot Gort from destroying the earth. are these not the same words uttered by Ash (Bruce Campbell) in the "Evil Dead?

    Yes they are.

    It was a nod to "the day the earth stood still" assumingly Sam Raimi is a fan of the film.

    Yes it is. He also says it on Army of Darkness. Well he almost says it. Klaatu Barada Nickel, Nimrod, etc.
