is Super Mario Galaxy for Wii good?

It's a good game, but not great. Space just doesn't seem to fit Mario. It didn't really feel like a Mario game. The other three dimensional Mario games were better (64 and Sunshine). You should still get it, but don't expect to be amazed (unless you've never played a Mario game before, then you will be).

Don't listen to these people who don't like it: they just don't like trying out new ways of playing with Mario! Super Mario Galaxy is an INCREDIBLE GAME! The game looks so good, the graphics are spectacular, the music is beautiful and nostalgic, and it feels like a true sequel to Super Mario 64! There are so many challenges ahead, and the new gravity implementations have integrated into the game very nicely! Meaning, walking upside down or sideways is fun and all, sometimes confusing, but you can take your time (well...most of the time anyway)! the controls are flawless, jumping is easy to master, and attacking is easy and fun with a simple flick of the wii remote! Seriously, grab this game, it is for ANY gender or age, and you don't have to be a mario hardcore fan to like it, you can like it for the new type of game it is: a 3D platformer with variable gravity!

Oh, did I mention that the cutscenes are amazing? It looks like a CGI movie when watching them! The confrontations with Bowser are just the best climax, and let me tell you something: Forget Super Mario Sunshine basically, because there ain't no water nozzle or vacation to clean up, and you are not saving the Mushroom Kingdom, you are SAVING THE WORLD from Bowser, as well as Princess Peach from Bowser!

Get Mario Kart wii because it has so much to do on it, and wait until holiday season for Super Mario Galaxy 2

Depends if:

-You like adventure games

-You like Mario

-You like the Wii's Control Scheme using nunchuk to move and wii pointer simultaneously

-you like camera movement you cant control (very well, at least)

-You like powerups and Gizmos in adventure games

-You like outer space and being able to use gravity to your advantage

If you like most of these, its a fun game. I like it because I like adventure with gadgets in outer space with gravity.

It is CERTINLY BETTER THAN SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE!
