making videos with a webcam?

this might sound like a stupid question, but can you make a video with any webcam, or is it only certain ones?

    any

what matters is the program you use to format the video and what file type you can save it as. The hardware (camera) does not matter.

In fact for internet posts webcams are better because they are usually lower resolution and occupy less memory.

I have a logitech pro 9000 webcam which is far and away the best i have ever used and the bundled software has a built in link to publish your video straight onto you tube. Others I have used include an Advent , Trust and a wierd one modelled like a cyber dog. All but the dog will make videos using Amcap software but of course the quality is dependant on how good the lens on the camera is, and here the logitech wins hands down. On offer at PC world right now, check it out.
