I am taking antibiotics?
and I am to take 2 a day. For the first 2 days i took one in the morning and one in the evening.
I was hoping to drink tonight though, do you think it is okay for me to take my last one around 2 as i had this mornings one around 9am?
Oh i know not to drink on them. If i have it at 2 then by 8 when i'd fancy a glass of wine i'd be okay??
Really 2 days after i've never heard of that?
Nah if people shouldn't then i won't. I can wait till tomorrow.

This depends on what you're taking for an antibiotic. However, there's a lot of misinformation here, maybe I can help clarify:
With the exception of a few odd antibiotics, there are *no* documented interactions with alcohol. Now, that said, drinking alcohol (especially in large amounts) can slow down your body's ability to heal itself, which is the whole reason you're taking antibiotics to begin with. However, a glass or two of wine shouldn't pose a problem, especially if you've completed your therapy and taken all of your antibiotics as prescribed.
There are a few general situations you want to be wary of, no matter what drugs you're taking. If you already have problems with your liver or kidneys, or if you're on a lot of other medications, then this might interfere with your body's ability to process those medications. However, as I said, these precautions aren't specifically for antibiotics and you'll generally know if you have these problems even before you get a prescription.
Also, if you experience anything unusual while drinking (nausea, dizziness, etc.) just use common sense and stop. And certainly if you have any questions regarding odd symptoms, just let your doctor know.
However, to reiterate, there are no documented interactions between alcohol and most antibiotics. The following are the odd exceptions where you do *not* want to drink:
metronidazole (Flagyl) or tinidazole
furazolidone (Furoxone)
griseofulvin (Grisactin)
quinacrine (Atabrine)

No. 2 a day, your to divide them over a 24 hour period. Like if you take it at 9 am, then you take it again at 9 pm. It's like that so your keeping the same amout of the antibiotic in your system at all times until the dose is done with to fight off the infection. If you don't take it that way, chances are the medicine won't help you the right way and rid your body of the entire infection, which in the long run you'd be hurting yourself because the infection will re surface in no time. Don't alter the doseage times. Also, if your a female and taking birth control pills, beware that antibiotcs counter act with them and they may not be very effective. Also, alcohol is not good while taking them and neither is being in direct sunlight.

The biggest problem with antibiotic is that nobody ever finishes the prescription, they always think... well..I'm almost done so...
Then wham the success rate goes down some statistically "unlucky" s.o.b. get sent back or not even cured (say "the clap"... poor bastard) doomed to take the pills again there by reducing the effectiveness of the antibiotic and making it useless to the entire world.
That being said...you're going to do it aren't you ?

Don't drink with this medication it needs time to work in your system and time to get out ,sorry but wine would be out of the question

after taking antibiotics, it is recommended not to drink until 2 days after you are done, that way they are out of your system.

Don´t drink, it will reduce medicine absorption.
Antibiotics are important to finish correct treatment or you will need to do it all over, with other antibiotic, if sickness returns.

If that is the last one in your course yes. But its recommended not to drink on them as it lessers their affect.
