    225g P2O5 x (1mol P2O5 / (2x31 + 5x16)g P2O5) x (4mol P / 2mol P2O5) x (31g P / 1mol P)

Sorry I can't write this out better but that's the work..

    To answer do:

    (225x4x31) / ([(2x31)+(5x16)] x 2)

In the given equation, the ratio of P to P2O5 is 4:2 or to simplify, 2:1. Given 225 grams of P205, twice that is 450 grams of P.

    Atomic weights: P=31 O=16 P4=124 P2O5=142

    The equation is already balanced.

    225gP2O5 x 1molP2O5/142gP2O5 x 1molP4/2molP2O5 x 124gP4/1molP4 = 98.2g P4 to three significant figures
