Okay, where to start, i guess with what equipment i have. I havea PS3, a marantz 4002, 2 boston acoustics, 1 bass, and 1 center, and a DLP tv. I have a hdmi coming out of the PS3, and to the reciever(marantz 4002) then i have a pci converted in to a HDMI by a small converter, running from the reciever to the tv. i have all my wires to my speakers hooked up. HOWEVER, i have no audio or video. i tried to run FM radio and got no sound, i also tried to run the playstation but it can not find the video signal. what am i doing wrong? what do i need to get? please help.. i need audio :)

Many recievers have speaker switches which turn off the speakers in different rooms or for headphone listening. The reciever probably also needs to have the HDMI inputs asigned.

The Marantz 4002 has a menu with on screen display. You may need to hook it to the TV using component video to see it. Consult your manual on how to assign the inputs.

Hmm, I don't see the need for the PCI to HDMI converter being in the "Reciever to TV" loop....

You can run HDMI from the PS3 to the reciever....

And run HDMI FROM the reciever TO the TV SET.....

And if you actually meant DVI, because your TV set has the DVI connector, you Might have purchased the Wrong HDMI to DVI cable....

We don't call cables converters....We call them "adaptor cables" and we call Converter Boxes "converters"

That way, we are all on the same page when trying to deal with problems like yours over the phone....or the internet.

So...do you really have a box or Cable here??

If it's a box, get rid of it, because it's not needed with a standard TV set...only if you're attempting to use a computer monitor as a TV set.

Now, if you still can't get a picture then that other guy is right about assigning VIDEO inputs to specific AUDIO inputs....you must match the ACTIVE video connection with the ACTIVE audio input jack you are using....and the instruction book is the EASIEST way to do it....

The FM radio test is a WISE TEST....I use it all the time to establish the speaker settings first....and since you have no sound on it, you must have the speaker switches turned off....

OR your speaker wiring isn't connected (watch out that the insulation isn't clamped down under your connectors!) OR your amp is bad and needs serviced....

I sure hope it isn't the last one....that's a hassle.

The insulation UNDER the connectors....that's happened to me...

And assigning inputs...God I can't even remember if MY amp has been assigned or not. I think it is...

So don't feel like you're the only one that this has happened to...I think we ALL deal with your situation.
