I actually agree with you. There are a lot of consequences, other than just getting pregnant or contracting stds, that people either don't realize or just don't care.

The heart is a fragile thing, when you have sex with someone before you've both committed to each other you leave yourself open for a lot of hurt and pain - when the person leaves you, you that person, or worse, if the individual cheats on you.

Why do people do it? Because they think that it's harmless. It's "the in thing to do," a social trend - something widely accepted, as well as other reasons like "I can do whatever I want" and "it's a free country" (those kind of selfish reasons). I was taught growing up that if it feels do it and sex feels good, so there's another reason I suppose.

Not to put down those who do have sex and are not married: A very attractive friend of mine and I were talking one and she said this to me, that she's going to save herself for marriage, so she can say to the man she'll be with for the rest of her life, that she saved herself for him...that she waited and fought against the "trend" to be able to prove to whoever he may be that she loved him even before they met. That she thought of him before he even before she knew his name.

I would love to find someone like that...talk about love and dedication. I almost asked her to marry me on the spot...lol (j/k).

And if you're curious, she does date, but just doesn't allow things to escalate to that degree.

because todays generation has no discipline. because we are told that we can have sex at the age of 16 and not before, even the responsible ones wait and then it a new toy to play with.

but some people want it more when they are not allowed it or they are told not to have it...

some people don't believe in a religion so it just comes natural to them.

people make their own decisions in life and if a girl wants to have sex with a guy who don't love her... thats her choice nobody else's unfortunately

*High-Five* It is disgusting to hear about teens having sex when they have only been together for weeks or a month or two.. or even worse.. when they aren't in a relationship at all! *puke!* I just graduated high school, my girlfriend is now a senior.. we have been together for 14 months and to this day we have not had sex. If you wait until you are married, there will be no regrets later in life!
