When Stephen looked into heaven, why did he see just 2 persons? No trinity??

Acts 7:55 But he (Stephen) being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God's glory and of Jesus standing at God's right hand.

God is the Spirit; John 4:24

Holy Spirit is actually an extension of God. Jesus compared it to God's fingers; Luke 11:20.

So the holy spirit is NOT a third person.

Ephesians 2:22 In union with Him you, too, are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit.

Update:

Joel 2:28 And after that it must occur that I (GOD) shall pour out MY SPIRIT on every sort of flesh,..

So, the holy spirit is NOT another 3rd person.

Update 2:

Acts 2:17 '"And in the last days," God says, "I shall pour out some of *my spirit* upon every sort of flesh and.."

Ephesians 4:30 Also, do not be grieving GOD'S holy spirit, with which you have been sealed...

Update 3:

1 Corinthians 6:19 What! Do you not know that the body of you people is the temple of the holy spirit within you, which you have from God?

Update 4:

Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb..(2 persons)

Update 6:

1John 5:7 For there are three witness bearers,

8) the spirit and the water and the BLOOD and the three are in agreement.

[Early manuscripts do not say; Father, the word and the spirit.]

You are absolutely right. What more can I add?

All these others who believe the spirit of God is a person, are blind to the very fact that they read into the Bible what is not there. You even have one who is still citing 1 John 5:7, which is well known to be a falsified entry.

I do not know where you are coming from and if your a Christian or from a CULT who denies the deity of Christ and what the Bible teaches about the Holy Spirit. When one studies the Bible in FULL you will see exactly WHo the Holy Spirit is and there is no need to follow any false teachings or any organization.

Do not call the Holy Spirit “it.” He is a real person that indwells every believer. Sometimes we think that the only real person is a visible person. In reality we are a person and personality which is not part of the body. This human body is only the vehicle God gave us to live in while on planet earth. You are not an “it.” When you die, there remains a body that we put in the grave, but you have departed. That real person has never been seen visibly just like the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit’s responses to mankind reveal that he is a person.

    (1) He may be grieved. “Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30.

    (2) He may be tested. “Then Peter said unto her, How is that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord?” Acts 5:9.

    (3) He may be resisted. “Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you do always resist the Holy Ghost, as your fathers did, so do ye.” Acts 7:51.

    (4) He may be blasphemed. “He that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.” Mark 3:29-30.

    (5) He may be lied to. “Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost?” Acts 5:3.

The Holy Spirit is also called “God” several places in the Bible. He has divine attributes as revealed in the following passages of Scripture.

    (1) Omnipotence - Luke 1:35. In the birth of Christ, He was the protector of Mary and Jesus. He is our protector as well.

    (2) Omniscience - I Corinthians 2:10. In our life, He knows everything about everything.

    (3) Omnipresent - Psalms 139:7-17. In our life, “He will never leave you or forsake you.” He is ever present.

    (4) Eternal Spirit - Hebrews 9:14. In our life from the new birth to Heaven, He is at work helping us “serve the living God.”

The Holy Spirit is also identified in the Bible by several symbols and examples, which are pictures of His Divine work.

    (1) Dove - John 1:32. The dove is a symbol of love and sorrow as He ministers to Jesus.

    (2) Water - Isaiah 44:3; John 7:38-39. Once you are saved only the Holy Spirit can quench your spiritual thirst.

    (3) Oil - I Samuel 16:13. The ear of a priest was anointed first so that he might hear God. Secondly, a priest’s thumb was anointed so that he might act for God. This is the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

    (4) Wind - John 3:6-8. Quietly and unidentifiably the Holy Spirit moves both in salvation and in our daily lives.

    (5) Fire - Acts 2:3-4. Fire is symbolic of purification, testing or judgement. This is a work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

    (6) Clothing - Judges 6:34 The Spirit of Jehovah clothed himself with Gideon. Clothing speaks of protection. He is also our protector.

You are stringing together a bunch of Scriptures that you are taking completely out of context. This should never be done and this what the cults do methodically and why they are so screwed up doctrinally.

First of all, in Acts 7:55, the Holy Spirit is said to be present with Stephen. Second of all, is there any reason to believe that it would be somehow important for Stephen to sit there and name every one he saw as he is dying? Perhaps he also saw angels in heaven as well, but what would be the point in list making as he lay dying? The point he felt it was important to make is that he actually saw Jesus, at God's right hand--a position of glory--just as it was promised that he would occupy post-ascension. This was important because this proved to Stephen that Jesus was right where he said he would be, waiting to receive those who believe, into glory with him when they died. That was the only important point that needed to be made as Stephen's life expired.

Secondly, the Holy Spirit is NOT an extension of God (that is a heresy known as modalism) and Jesus never said that He was. In Luke, Jesus is simply making the point that His miracles were done with the power of God. The Holy Spirit is NOT God's power (or "active force" like the JWs say). He is a PERSON who has a mind, will, emotions of a person; can be grieved, lied to, etc. Like a person. In fact, if you look at Ex. 8:19 you will see that Moses was said to be able to give the signs to Pharoah with the "finger of God" as well. It is merely an expression to personify God's power being with a person.

Finally, your Joel reference cannot even be brought into the argument because the OT Jews experienced the Holy Spirit completely differently than Christian believers do. In the OT, when God wanted to place his approval on someone, the Holy Spirit "came upon" them. A good case study is King Saul, and when he started being wicked, the Holy Spirit was lifted back off of him. In the case of Christians, the Holy Spirit INDWELLS us. This is completely different and was not at all possible until Jesus ascended to heaven and fulfilled his promise to his disciples that he would send a comforter who would be with us always.

I cannot stress enough the importance of taking all verses in context, context, CONTEXT, in order to limit confusion.

Jesus belongs to God and acts on the behalf of God Almighty but is a separate nad distinct person.

The Holy Spirit belongs to God and acts on the behalf of God Almighty but is a separate nad distinct person.

Only God wields the finger of God. Jesus wielded the finger of God so that tells us something.

The Holy Spirit too is witnessed to as part of God but distinctive and a person.

There are some things that can not be understood unless a person becomes a Christian and there are things that will be understood and realized after being on the road of Christianity for awhile.

Jesus referred throughout to the Holy Spirit as a person and also said people should be baptized in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit's task is to glorify Jesus therefore He will seldom if ever draw attention to Himself. By the way all three Persons are "extensions" of one God

The Trinity is in the very verse you cite!

The Holy Ghost was IN Steven and he SAW God and Jesus.

When Jesus ascended He sent the Holy Spirit here!

Check Revelation. The spirit is never seen where God and Jesus are seen.

The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity, He just doesn't reside in Heaven. He lives in our hearts here on the earth. That is why Stephen didn't see Him.

The Holy Spirit was with him.

The reason for this is because the doctrine of the trinity is something that the Biblical writers were not aware of. The trinity, like the Assumption of Mary (if you are Catholic), predestination (if you are a Calvinist), and a whole host of other Christian beliefs, are the result of later developments within Christendom. Of course the Bible is the product of human tradition, so this should come as no surprise to you.
