ok im trying to raise money for cancer research and i was thinking about a stand of some sort. . .?
see i was thinking about a lemonade stand but then when i told my family about this they laughed in my face and say for christ sakes your 14 dont start a lemonade stand and so i was wondering what type of stand i should do and i live in texas and its summer. and yes this was my idea and nobody is focing me to do this i just wanna help some people out cause my friend died of cancer

I think that it is great that you want to help. Most of the time people donate or volunteer for organizations that they have a connection to or identify with....sounds like this is the case. I'm so sorry.
I do have to say that you are better of joining up with a local organization in town. Be aware that usually the minimum age is 16 but nonprofits often have special events or days that are geared towards family that are open to everyone.
Call your local United Way agency or check out www.volunteermatch.org to find organizations in your area that you could join up with.
However, if you are set on a stand, I think that lemondade is a great idea! You're in Texas though so some Sweet Tea might do the trick too!
