I was wondering what the guide button was for on universal rca remotes , can somebody please tell me!?

does the guide button show you what program is on each channel ? Either way what is it for???????

    Its for Satellite and some Cable TV customers. You can program the remote to control the receiver and when you press "guide" a TV guide will come up on the screen that you can browse through and see whats playing on the channels. Not all TV providers have this though.

    you know how on TV there is a specific channel that tells you what is on other channels? The guide button is basically a list of all channels and it tells you what is on that channel and and what is coming up on that channel.
