Quick story: Your kind of trapped, because I returned a memory stick that I purchased on sale and returned receiving a "full" value refund (@$19 extra back). It bugged me, so the next day I went in and explained to the manager with the receipts and the guy said; "I admire your honestly, we noticed and already knew it was you by the receipts last night how the error occured, but we already booked the (under/over) loss last night and couldn't credit back the box with the money you are trying to return - you can keep it, this doesn't happen, but once a year, thank you very much".

If you want to get if off your chest, owe up to it - however I warn, don't expect a happy ending. It really depends on the manager and they could still press charges.

Now you have a choice!! Do it again, and become numb to the pain and guilt and it becomes easier, start your way down a path that leads to dirty sex with strangers, and selling yourself for more drugs. maybe sometimes if you have to sleep on flattened cardboard over the grate. Hot steam rising is your only warmth, and you scorn someone for putting you in this position, but Never once truely reflect on the choice that lead you down this path. Or you could take peace in the fact that you have confessed your sin to your brothers and sisters, here on the internet, and if those people really want thier ticket back, they can use some sophisticated computer software to find your Ip address and traceroute it back to your Isp city , and narrow down from there, who had dinner that night at that particular resturaunt, have security check the tapes, and maybe just maybe catch a limps of your license plate off a relection on a street sign.

well im not trying to be rude but you should feel horrible i mean i know people think its cool and stuff to steal but really its not. i mean whats cool about stealing stuff and making stores lose money. you are hurting them and not only them yourself as well by giving yourself a bad name. how would anyone be able to trust you if they knew you stole. Well here's what i think you should do.....1. Ask God for forgiveness.

    2. Tell your parents what you did and ask them what they think is the best thing to do now. I know seems like the worst thing to do is to tell them but yaw stole so......

    3. Do what they want you to do.

    4. Make a promise to yourself to never steal again.

    5. Think about the other person's side before doing something crazy like that. Think of how what you do affects not only yourself but everyone else.

I hope you don't think i'm rude i just can't stand stealers. But im glad that you feel bad about it and maybe next time you'll think about it before you do something like that. I hope this helps.

  • It's good that you feel bad. At least you are showing remorse. See if you can give back the items. Ask for the manager on duty and be truthful. Most likely the manager may not press charges but he/she may ban you from entering their store premises.

Finally, get better friends. If you have friends that are stealing or have a habit of ripping people off, can you honestly say that they are honest people? You deserve better....

Here's the truth. You admit things, "Oh wow what a great story! You're such a good person, just like in all the movies! Now, get in these handcuffs..." Maybe put the jewelry in a box and drop it at the store if you want to return it, along with an ANONYMOUS note that you are sorry, you made bad choices from bad influences.

I would advice just get through go to the shop and return the jewels before they catch you with some camera kept in the corner of the shop & least you feel more embbaressed .

Trust me you would actually feel happy while returning the jewels as you are rectifying your mistake .

And making the mistake is in human nature not to do it again is a lesson .

Karma is a thing that is real and maybe you don't see it but you are beginning to feel it. You need to return it. What you did was wrong and it causes each and every person who goes in there and spends their hard earned money to pay more because they have to pay more for security and pay for "lost" merchandise. I will leave it up to you on how you "return" it ......but do so.

The person you were with when you did this is NOT your friend. Don't do it again and if you have any common sense you will stay away from people like this because the next time you could be in jail instead of asking us here on Y!A what to do. Remember...God forgives all....repent...take the stuff back and do better. Find better friends to hang with and better things to do with your time. Good luck!!!

Well, no one should steal. You know, everyone steals gum out of their mom's purse, but really, how would you feel if someone stole something from you, especially if you owned the store? It's good that you feel guilty about it, but like the other's previously stated, confess, don't do it again, and don't cave in to peer pressure!

What the last two people said. See if you can speak to a manager before returning it, because it would probably be better than just a sales clerk. Let him know that you took the items, but you know it was wrong, and you want to return them. Offer to pay any expenses, if that's what's needed. I really think you'll blow the manager away. I know for a fact that prices on items get raised because of shoplifters, and that for someone to realize what they did was wrong and bring everything back would be a welcome surprise.

I know it'll be really hard. But, trust me, it'll SO be worth it.

Just realize that your guilt is your punishment. Don't do it again and you'll be okay. I wouldn't recommend going back to the store as some don't accept that as an apology, instead they'll try to prosecute you. Just keep it to yourself, or confess it in church if that's important to you, and then never do it again.
