How can I make the Sims2 run faster on my computer?
I have tried to clean up my C: Drive and I have defragmented my computer many times...my computer runs fast but when I try to play the sims2...the game tends to run really slow and I do not know why...please help..I really like to play this game but t no fun when it runs really slow..and practically freezes.

I recommend a PC upgrade.
Most probably RAM and Graphics Card.
You can also turn the detail settings down in Sims 2, by going into the settings then going into the Monitor icon.

Its probably because you don't have a good enough computer. What you need to buy is a bigger hard drive or more RAM to your computer. Sims 2 is a big game and takes a lot of virtual memory, making your computer run slower.

you'll take a look at doing a disk cleanup. i've sims2 additionally and its superr sluggish. but when i restart my laptop earlier than i run it in many instances it is going quicker. however rather its only a huge application.

Try this tweak it should help some. Make sure though you have at least 40% free disk space before doing it.
