if you could describe heaven...?

I don't really believe in heaven, but I think of being reborn in a different world but very much like ours, except everything is perfect, but we don't really know that because we don't know anything else (i.e, we don't remember this world until we die a 2nd time and then we remember both worlds). So, for instance, there are never potholes in the street. And there is never bad traffic. It only rains at 2 am and there in never lightning. No tornados or earthquakes, etc. No mosquitoes, no rats, no cockroaches or termites. No sickness. Everyone winds up getting a nice, easy job. The bad jobs get done magically. You assume people are doing those jobs, but no one actually has the job. The big question becomes: if you've lived in a paradise without realizing it's paradise, then what do you imagine heaven is?

Well the Bible doesn't go into full detail about what heaven will be like physically but we do know there will be streets of gold though we probably won't even take notice considering we will be in the presence of the Lord. It will a perfect place made for those born again to praise and be with God. It will be perfect because nothing unholy can enter into the prescience of the Lord.

I have in me an idea of God. This idea has infinite objective reality.

I cannot be the cause of this idea, since I am not an infinite and perfect being. I don't have enough formal reality. Only an infinite and perfect being could cause such an idea.

So God -- a being with infinite formal reality -- must exist (and be the source of my idea of God).

An absolutely perfect being is a good, benevolent being.

So God is benevolent.

So God would not deceive me and would not permit me to err without giving me a way to correct my errors.

It is possible for God to create anything I can clearly and distinctly perceive.

If God creates something to be independent of another, they are distinct from each other.

I clearly and distinctly understand my existence as a thinking thing (which does not require the existence of a body).

So God can create a thinking thing independently of a body.

I clearly and distinctly understand my body as an extended thing (which does not require a mind).

So God can create a body independently of a mind.

So my mind is a reality distinct from my body.

So I (a thinking thing) can exist without a body.

Do not believe in heaven as in organized religion but I would like to think after life is something like the film 'What Dreams May Come' Your heaven is what you make it.

I'm still laughing at the beer volcano and stripper factory....Heaven would be a beach along an ocean with scantily clad men serving me twinkies and margaritas while keeping a svelte figure.

(Revelations 4th chapter)1. After these things I saw, and, look! an opened door in heaven, and the first voice that I heard was as of a trumpet, speaking with me, saying: “Come on up here, and I shall show you the things that must take place.” 2 After these things I immediately came to be in [the power of the] spirit: and, look! a throne was in its position in heaven, and there is one seated upon the throne. 3 And the one seated is, in appearance, like a jasper stone and a precious red-colored stone, and round about the throne [there is] a rainbow like an emerald in appearance.

4 And round about the throne [there are] twenty-four thrones, and upon these thrones [I saw] seated twenty-four elders dressed in white outer garments, and upon their heads golden crowns. 5 And out of the throne there are proceeding lightnings and voices and thunders; and [there are] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, and these mean the seven spirits of God. 6 And before the throne there is, as it were, a glassy sea like crystal.

And in the midst of the throne and around the throne [there are] four living creatures that are full of eyes in front and behind. 7 And the first living creature is like a lion, and the second living creature is like a young bull, and the third living creature has a face like a man’s, and the fourth living creature is like a flying eagle. 8 And as for the four living creatures, each one of them respectively has six wings; round about and underneath they are full of eyes. And they have no rest day and night as they say: “Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming.”

It's not a place.

Heaven is being reconnected in spirit with God once life on earth ends. It is your soul's proximity to God.

Hell is not being connected to God. It is nothing.You cease to exist. Your soul is eternally separate from God and is void. This is worse than the visions of fire and torments, for someone who believes in the awesomeness of God.

Read Revelation 21 and 22 it is described exactly there.

You would be faster than lightning, would not ever sleep again, no hatred or jealousy in yourself, rewards beyond comprehention, full of happiness and you will eat without ever feeling hunger pains. is this ok for you?
