You may be able to claim Disability living allowance if your health is bad and you are under 65. This is not a means tested benefit. You can even work and claim DLA. There are three rates. Low middle and high. Same goes for carers allowance. Does your husband have to provide care for you? Does your husband work 16 to 30 hours per week. If so he may be able to get working tax credit. You may be able to get help with rent and council too. I have put two links below. One for the cab public site for your information and a benefits calculator, so you can do your own calculation.

You may or may not be entitled to disability living allowance for mobility if you are unable to walk or travel unaided or you may or for care if you need help with your personal care.
You need to check the eligibility for these benefits to see if you qualify.
If you have children you may qualify for tax credits.
If your husband is a low wage earner you may qualify for housing benefitand/or coucil tax benefit.
You are not alone in finding it hard to meet the bills. My husband is a low wage earner and I have only been able to find a few hours part time work since moving to a depressed area.and we are really struggling. I can only see things getting worse as everything is going up so fast. Could you not work from home, walk a dog or even baby sit to help out?

A lot of what you may or may not be entitled to will be means tested (ie. your husband's income will be taken into account). That includes housing benefit, tax credits, council tax relief etc.
Your local social security office will be able to tell you more, also:

If you have children you might be entitled to extra tax credits, or now even working tax credit, contact your local council, as you may even get extra help with your rent and council tax. Hope you feel a bit better soon.

Have you looked into "carers allowance", you may also be entitled to that if your husband has to care for you because of any disabilties/health problems.

Go and see Citizens Advice. They can run a benefits check to make sure you're getting all you're entitled to.
