Computer/windows Start Up Failure. [Urgent]?
When I turn on my computer it says that windows did not start up properly due to recent system changes (the only things ive downloaded in the past week are from wincustomize.com)
It lets me choose to start windows in
-Safe mode
-Safe mode with networking
-Safe mode with comman prompt
-Last know system settings
-Run windows regularly
But none of these options work
they all take me to a blank screen and never go anywhere (believe me. i've let each sit for an hour)
except safe mode enters a bunch of commands and then stops.
It wont even let me do a System recovery. Gets to the 100% load bar and stops.
Any ideas?

Use your Windows XP disk that came with the PC (because you still have it, right? Find one) - Insert the CD or press F8 or F11 while booting and do a repair.

Unfortunately when Windows won't boot at all it could be a lot if things. Not always easy to narrow down.
However the majority of the time it's the hard drive.
Boot off your Windows/recovery CD and choose to run the recovery console.
This will take you to a command prompt that looks like C:>
Type in the command 'chkdsk /r' (without the quotes)
It will locate any bad sectors on the drive and attempt to repair them.
Even if this does allow you to boot into Windows and everything seems good again, it's time for you to back up your files and shop around for a new hard drive. The problems will only get worse.
Good luck.

final time i attempted a "pressing help mandatory" question, I have been given thrown out of solutions.... I lost my account too. My laptop smoked lots using strain - Admittedly I did thump it some circumstances, and that i now have some loose keys, yet I did locate the withdrawal technique to be triumphant, nonetheless quite unsatisfying. If I wore a patch for each packet of ciggies I have been given with the aid of on a daily basis, i could be in a band help commercial, nonetheless might propose you withdraw your self from pronounced laptop, and pour a drink... That way, you get sticky keys, and a schmokin laptop!!!

Sounds like your only option is to re-install Windows, formatting your hard drive in the process.
