CS2 does not support your RAW format.
Download their Digital Negative converter. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?...
Convert your RAW to DNG, then CS2 will open it.

verify for updates on your application. It would not have the right upload directly to transform Nikon 3100 uncooked to a usable format. The drivers are no longer downward well suited, which means you will possibly haven't any situation with CS5. Your caught with employing the digital camera utility alongside with your uncooked data and then changing them into jpg so which you would be able to edit them in photoshop. that's recommended to objective downloading the hot Corel Paint save professional for a month long trial. An see if it stacks as much as CS5 on your ideas. a lot much less pricer than CS5 or the improve fee.

sweetie the best thing you could do is upgrade to CS3. That's the only one I know that has direct settings for RAW pics. It handles them amazingly.
