Leftover fresh herbs?

I'm on vacation for 10 days and have fresh leftover chives and basil that will go bad if unused. I can't use them before I go. What are my options? I don't want to throw them away :(

Hang them up or leave them on a cooling rack to dry. Speed up the process before you go by using a low heat oven or microwave.

You chop them up and simply dry it and store it in a tight container in a dry place.

It will keep for a long time. You don't even need a dehydrator; just dry it out in the sun or simply out in open air. Once I forgot to store my chives back into the fridge and it dried itself up over the course of a day! Good luck and Bon Voyage!

I used to put the herbs on foil and leave in the oven with the door ajar, but the oven OFF.

freeze them, dry them... use them.

chives and basil are both good on potatoes, in dips and soups
