What happen to the American men tennis players?

Not just tennis, americans are being replaced in every single field on this earth. Tech workers from India and China. Manual works from across the southern borders. They recruit more and more foreigners to join the US Army. Manufacturing jobs keep going overseas. Farm workers and restaurant jobs are replaced by those across the southern borders. Many others too.

Wrong? I don't know that we have gone wrong in America, perhaps we have not done enough. We are still a sports-crazed nation but the sports we crave are football, basketball and baseball . . . and those sports are still more attractive to our developing youngsters than tennis. The popularity of tennis is growing but the cache' of big time sports and big time dollars is more attractive to our young athletes. That is going to have to change if America's participation at the elite level of tennis is to continue. From a developmental standpoint, the USTA must also train our best tennis players to play on all types of surfaces especially clay. Therefore, we need more clay courts in the US. Currently, the Big Four of men's tennis does not include an American . . . for all the reasons I mentioned before and every sport is cyclical to a degree . . . the US will be back dominating in no time.

There may not be a Sampras or Agassi, but I think many underestimate Andy Roddick. Just think, if it weren't for Roger Federer, he might be sitting on four Grand Slam titles now. He's had a shot at every Grand Slam except Roland Garros. He also has the best record for anyone not named Federer or Nadal (76% winning percentage) and an excellent 83% record on grass, right up there with Federer's 87% record on grass. He still has a shot at two or three more Grand Slam titles in the remainder of his career.

There are upcoming american players, I am sure you dont need to wait long, but the problem right now is with federer, nadal, djokovic, its quite difficult, imagine this scenario. anyone getting beat by these players will not develop their game, when sampras, agassi burst on to the scene, their competition was not as it is right now,, perhaps they wouldnt be able to better their game,,

Just wait, I am sure there will some player who will burst in,, also we have two american ladies playing in the semi's, remember when we had sampras, agassi, we didnt have any top us female players,,
