What is the best way to remove scratches from a dark wooden dining table?

I have a dark wooden dining table, almost a mahogany finish to it, and someone at a party scratched the living daylights out of it! The scratch, after close examination, was not deep enough to cut into the wood but just enough to take off some of the varnish. I would HATE to go through the trouble of refinishing the table. Is there anyother option?? I've tried Old English for dark wood and that didnt do anything. I've thought about trying one of those markers but I wanted some feedback from others before I went out and bought anything else. If a marker is what you suggest, please let me know what kind or brand you recommend best. Thanks so much!!

I heard you can rub Brazil nuts on it to remove the scratches.

There's some stuff called Tibet Almond Stick which has worked very well for me with scratches in dark wood.

Stop having sex on that table girl lol. Best way would be to completely remove the stain and redo it.
