What does proper healing of extraction sites of wisdom teeth look like?
It has been over two weeks since I had four wisom teeth extracted and I have some questions. I was really lucky and only had to have stitches in one location, the other teeth were an easy removal. I had been feeling fine for about a week, no pain, no soreness, no nothing. I continue to rinse with salt water 3-5x a day, and I'm doing my best to keep my mouth clean (although I'm afraid of brushing near the holes). Two days ago, while inspecting the healing process I noticed a small circle of redness (a blood hue) at the hole which had stitches. The stitches were removed one week ago by my oral surgeon, so I know it is not irritation caused by them disolving. I started to feel sore again(bummer). Then, this morning I noticed the redness starting at one of the other holes. Does this sound normal? I was not given a water syringe, so all I've been able to do is rinse with salt water. I'm on here and not at my surgeon's office because I live in VA, and he is in NY (my hometown). Suggestions?

I am a little concerned about the new soreness. But without seeing it, I can't really say. New soreness may indicate an infection starting up. I would have a dentist do a limited exam to make sure it is not an infection. They would probably also be able to give you an irrigating syringe.

those that are chipped would be extracted lots swifter than those that are broken. depending on teh severity of the crack, the know-how tooth ought to take 40 5 minutes to be extracted. The chipped molars won't take almost that long. I propose which you get knocked out, i comprehend that wasn't your question, yet an rigidity subject plus that long in the chair equals which you're able to desire to get knocked out. it may probable help to purchase some tylenol in case you're out, as your gums would be swelled and in a wee little bit of soreness after the extraction. wish that helped.
