Tomatoes and onions are also known to cause problems with some dogs - something I only discovered quite recently - though it has to be said that up until this point all my dogs had eaten left over bolognese sauce with no ill effects whatsoever (except maybe a little extra wind!). Avoid cooked bones of any description - it is once they are cooked that they become soft and splintery.

    Toxic foods:

    grapes/raisins

    avocados

    onions and garlic

    pits and seeds

tomatoe plants (the fruit itself is ok tho)

Xylitol.. its an artificial sweetener used in some gums, mints, toothpaste and candies

    avoid foods that are:

    rotton, spoiled, or moldy

fried, fatty, etc.. these could cause pancreatis

spicy, salty, etc, may cause stomache upset

    cooked bones of any kind

fruits or veggies that are over-ripe or under-ripe

many dogs are lactose intolerant, so dairy should be avoided. Some dogs do tolerate lactose tho.

Too many of some fruits and veggies may cause stomache upset, loose stools or gas.

You could give your dog a small amount of human food just not things that have lots of artificial stuff and perservatives. A bit of organic grapes wont hurt the dog and let is get use too not eating grapes a lot.

Anything with caffeine. Coffee, soda, caffeinated tea, and chocolate are some of those things. Everything else other people have mentioned...

My dog LOVES grapes, and when I read that I was shocked. He loves playing with them. It's cute. But, health is more important that play.

yes don't feed him grapes or raisins or onions. However, if you want to feed him something that is human food. You can give him grilled or baked chicken breast without bones. Rice, carrots, potatoes, and some fruits are ok for them to eat. Hope is was a help
