Heya
This is a subjective question. First, it depends on the cause of your teeth becoming stained and discolored. If you are used to drinking tea, coffee, wine, etc, then it is likely that the whitening effect would not last long. The consumption of such liquids will cause your teeth to discolor again. Smoking can also contribute to this. In case your teeth are genetically stained, you might need a teeth whitening treatment again after a few years. Normally, teeth whitening done by professionals stays effective for 5 to 7 years. One thing that is good about teeth whitening treatments is that very rarely do people return to their original teeth condition before treatment.
How long does my teeth stay sensitive after the procedure?
No they dont it will gradually wear off, after your procedure switch to sensodyne tooth paste, that will help the sensitivity. If sensitivity becomes uncomfortable at all please consult your dentist you further advice. This symptoms should dissapear after a few days after treatment.
Should i get it done?
Yes, go for it you have nothing to loose, you will enjoy your new teeth
Hope i helped

I went to the dentist to get my teeth whitened and it cost me £260 which gave me an impression of my teeth with 2 bleaching trays and a home kit. The results were fantastic and i could see a difference in just 3 days, that was over a year ago and i feel i could do with a top up now, so it's not permanent. My teeth were a little sensitive at the end of the treatment which lasted about 2-3 days but i used sensodine toothpaste and that helped! I did experience shooting pains in my teeth and gums while i was using the trays during the night but it was worth it!
Next time i do it though i will not be going via the dentist i will go to the site directly and by the professional home kit at a FRACTION of the cost.
The whitening system i used was Pola Night and i really recommend it!
Good Luck :)

I recently read that all teeth whitening products are various strengths of hydrogen peroxide, which would mean that you probably won't get much faster results from one product to another. Also, you might talk to a dentist about the natural color of your teeth. Some people don't have perfectly white teeth by nature and no amount of bleaching will change that (as far as I know...question for a dentist). I noticed this in college because I have very dark hair and very white teeth, whereas my roommate was a redhead and her teeth were never pearly-white, even though she had very good dental hygiene. Now that I'm older, I use whiteners on occassion and I usually see results in a day or too. SO, again, check with a dentist about the results you are getting.

No teeth whitening product or procedure gives permanent results.
Due to what you eat and drink on a daily basis, it will fade in a few months or more.
Your teeth shouldn't become sensitive and you should definitely get it done professionally w/Zoom or another popular treatment. White teeth are an investment that's well worth it.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
