Debian Linux - Skype?

I have changed fron Windows XP to Debian 4.0.

I find this OS excellent but cannot install Skype on it.

Any tips ?

    there is skype debain .deb available on the internet, I installed it in my Ubuntu(which is of course Debian based) and it works perfectly well.

    Mandriva Linux package management system uses .rpm packages. There is an .rpm package of Skype for Fedora, so maybe it will work (although it isn't for the Mandriva distribution specifically). You can get it from Skype's website. Have you checked your Mandriva's own package manager program and software repositories, if Skype is in there?
