WHY is he doing this?

my ex boyfriend, lets call him brandon, out of the blue is now trying to say that he is the father of my two year old, Ethan. i had ethan when i was 16. This is absolutely not true, i never even slept with Brandon. i dated him for a long time right before i got together with Matt(husband). Matt is the only person i have ever slept with. i know Matt doesnt believe him, but it makes me mad that Brandon would make up lies like this. Brandon actually almost told my son that he really was his dad, but i stopped him just in time. why is he trying to ruin the relationship i have with Matt and also ruin this for my son? He is not the dad and he knows it, and Matt knows it and I know it, and it makes me so angry that he would lie about this. i am 19, by the way. if this doesnt make it any better, Matt's a triplet, and one of his sisters is now dating Brandon. Brandon and Matt's sister dont believe that Matt is Ethans dad and it makes me so angry they would lie about this. what should i do?im 19

    Sounds like he is a little jealous. Any chance he is trying to get you back?

    Seriously, call his bluff and tell him to get a DNA test or to shut up and go away.

    And I would keep him away from my son if I were you .

    brandon is jealous. get a test to prove to everyone that matt is the dad.

    They sell those over the counter paternity tests at pharmacies now, if he's so 'sure' ask him to be a man and prove it.

    It's a win/win. If he says no, he's clearly lying, and if he says yes, the test will come back negative and he was CLEARLY lying. Either way, it should shut him up.

    If you and your husband know that he's lying then ignore it. He's just trying to stir trouble up.

    I agree with baybee. you should get him to do a paternity test and it will not lie and he'll be found out.
