Whats the best type of cricket bat and how much?

I'm looking to spend a maximum of about £130. My old Woodworm Flame has cracks everywhere so I might not get another Woodworm. Any suggestions please

    GET A HANDMADE SALIX.

They are aorund £140, there is a handmade factory somewhere around Kent. They are amazing. I am only 13 but I play for Kent, I'd only get a good bat if you play all the time. If you play on the one off get a good but not an amazing bat. So yeh, if you live near kent in england type in Salix into google and i predict that it will proply come up..10 points?

    Hope i helped :]

Well known makes are usually more expensive. Good, top of the range Gray Nicholls and Gunn and Moores cost well over £200. I would suggest looking at smaller bat makers where the bats are cheaper, because they cant sell on the name, you will then be able to buy a top of the range bat with higher quality willow. The ball really comes off better. Small Bat firms will also offer a one year breakage guarantee. Search for hand made English bat or Hand made English Bat makers. I used to be sponsored by ACE bats in Elland. This was a great bat with customised pick up etc and boy, if you hit the ball you certainly got the rewards. However unfortunately Ace bats are now shut. But it was a great firm when it was open.

    Grade 1 English willow.

These bats are only good for professionals.

Grade 2 or 3 would be good enough for anyone else.

top range bat G1 willow would be over 400 AUD.You can get a decent bat for around 150 to 250 AUD.

Brand names just help to differentiate the pick up ,weight etc of a bat.

  • They're all the same... Just the stickers are different. Trust me. My uncle owns a factory in India that makes cricket bats for County, Gray-Nicolls and GM. They are all the same bats but the stickers at the end are different

Best bat is the one that is made of willow found in Greenland.
