Is removing perfectly legitimate posts your way of dealing with issues with which you disagree?
To all post-removers of legitimate posts: Have you ever thought about using intelligent thought, reasoning and verbal expression to disagree with me or would you rather remove my posts because your heads are in the sand? I have never posted inappropriate material. Yes, I post a lot of rhetorical questions, but their purpose is to spark intelligent debate. I learn a lot from those of you with opposing viewpoints and I respect your answers, if you answer intelligently. But removing perfectly fine questions is cowardice and ignorance.
Examples:
Question: Conservatives, dare we remind our liberal friends here of the catch phrase that THEY created:? (Dissent is the highest form of patriotism). REMOVED
Question: Do you understand that Mr. Obama's brand of "change" means more government control in our lives? REMOVED
Question: Why did Bush abandon conservatism? Notice how his ratings plummeted since the election of the new Congress? REMOVED

Garlic, you know you're getting the side effects of having teenagers online. The rest are partisan hypersensitive types. You can wax eloquent and just end up with the pearls before swine scenario. When I get my answers deleted, I don't even bother to read the violation email. I find your questions to be well thought out, whatever that's worth to you.

After reading your questions, I do not feel they are disturbing.
One difference I found between Democrats and Republicans is that the former are unable to discuss and avoid debate.
They appear to have canned responses. If you attempt to challenge them, they talk louder and faster, often making no sense.
Ultimately, they end with a final burst of "And What about the 5000 children that are starving?"
Now, this is my observation, having lived in FL for over 40 years.
They became so belligerent during the Clinton years. that opposing political discussions in public were spoken in very low key.
Republicans on the other hand invite discussion and debate without the increase in decibels.
Undoubtedly, your censor is a young, uninformed Obama favorite, as for the Bush question, possible protectionism.
Agree with you about attempting to get people to think.Unfortunately, many folks are so caught up in just basic living and defending what is theirs, there is little time to expand their brain power, even within the 10% which we supposedly only use.

Yea, it sucks... and now Y!A has made it even harder to appeal a violation notice by not including the link to Costumer Service in the Violation Email, nor giving clear directions on where to file appeals... AND requiring that one fill out a form in addition to the rest of the necessities of the process... It's just not worth the effort anymore...
And it still appears as if Y!A doesn't even look at the complaint or the text of the supposed violation (no change there) But that's what one has to put up with (vendettas and all) to post here (the religious forums are just as bad) at all...
This is as much fun sometimes as slamming your thumb with a hammer...

I have had that happen several time.
What does Al Qaeda think of Obama's promise to withdraw from Iraq? REMOVED
What is Obama's plan to fight terrorism? REMOVED
But I have seen many comparing "neocons" to nazi's.. And well,, that's just fine.
I asked a question about the Iraq War , and I had no less than 27 Democratic quotes saying Iraq had WMD. Pointing out that it's not logical to say that Bush lied when all the quotes came from the previous administration.
Only had 1 liberal try and answer, then it was removed.
Seems that if they hit with a hard one that they can't answer, it gets deleted.
Feels like a the "fairness" doctrine doesn't it. Perhaps state run media ..lol

I would not have reported that but some people assume that anything with the word "you" in it is chatting. To be safe I would not use it. I usually even try to stay away from opinion questions and stick to facts. There is less of a chance of a war starting. Don't forget it is not Yahoo removing it. Go appeal it. ✩

Well, you have to understand the purpose of the Answers portion of Yahoo. With your questions you are not in fact asking a question, you are making a statement. That's against the rules and it will be removed if someone reports it. If you want to make statements about politics you are in the wrong place. That's not an opinion, that's a fact, and people who do that essentially ruin the forum. Answers is inherently flawed as a concept IMO but it could be much better than it is in certain categories if people wouldn't rant and instead would use the forum for it's intended purpose, which is to ask questions that you want to have an answer for.

I could add half a dozen more to that list that I got reported for. In fact, the majority of the things that I get violation notices for are for answering questions posed by liberals honestly. In particular, anything about Billy Clinton gets deleted almost immediately

i know!!!!! there have been lots of legitimate questions, your first one listed included, that i have answered only to find that they are quickly removed! what's up with that?!!!!! i am trying to figure out how they were against "community guidelines". i have reported once and only once. it was on a guy that bragged about hurting a child. not cool! i have been reported for calling obama a m*r*n. lol. i don't get why someone would report simply for a difference of opinion. why would you step into the kitchen if you can't take the heat?

i suppose it's a good way to deal with disagreement if you're 12 yrs old and have nothing intelligent to offer by way of rebuttal. sometimes i wonder why these folks don't just stick to liberal sites like the huffington post, where they have a team of 'moderators' ready to censor anything that doesn't match the far-left agenda

It's the children of the damned. I state on here time and again, I don't block or violate people and I give very few thumbs down. I answered your question, I give you my word it was not me who violated you. I have repeatedly asked yahoo to show who is doing the violating, they refuse. I challenge almost every violation and get nothing in return but the standard form letter referring me to the TOS. I guess to some, ignorance really is bliss. I feel ya'.
