sim card help?

hi i am traveling and my phone service provider store is not anywhere near me. i think i may need a new sim card, so can i just buy a new one at any cell phone store and use it instead?

    No, because your phone will only be able to read the SIM from your provider. So, if your provider is at&t only an at&t SIM will work in your phone.

    Depending on how long you are going to be away you could try to call customer service and see if they might be able to send you a SIM card to where you are staying. If you are overseas then you are going to have to wait till you can get to you providers store.

    Your phone needs to be unlocked and if you are travelling around the world it also needs to be tri-band or quad-band make sure you have these features because then your phone may not work everywhere. If your phono is unlocked then yes you can put any simcard on to it.
